Preparation Steps

Number 1

Roasting the Sooji

Heat ghee in a pan (kadhai). Add the sooji and roast it on medium flame until it turns light golden and releases a pleasant aroma.

Number 2

Frying the Dry Fruits

Add a little ghee and fry the cashews and almonds. Add raisins at the end, as they puff up quickly. Remove them and keep aside.

number 3

Adding Water & Sugar

In another pan, heat water and add sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Add cardamom powder for flavor.

Number 4

Mixing Process

Slowly add the hot water mixture to the roasted sooji while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.

Number 5

Final Cooking

The halwa will start thickening gradually. Once it begins to release ghee, it is ready. Mix in the fried dry fruits.

Number 5

Final Touch

Serve hot and garnish with extra dry fruits on top.
