Pro Tips

A Healthy Twist to Your Breakfast

Preparation Steps

Number 1

Prepare the Batter

Add gram flour (besan) to a bowl. Add turmeric powder, salt, and red chili powder. Gradually add water and mix well to make a smooth batter without lumps.

Number 2

Add the Vegetables

Now add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves. Mix everything properly. The batter should have a medium consistency - neither too thin nor too thick.

number 3

Heat the Pan

Heat a tawa/pan on medium flame. Spread a little oil on it.

Number 4

Cook the Chilla

Pour a ladle of batter onto the tawa and spread it lightly. Cook on medium flame for 2–3 minutes. Flip it and cook the other side until golden brown.

Number 5

Final Touch

Once both sides become crispy, remove the chilla from the pan. You can brush a little butter or oil on top before serving.
